With the crossing barrier down, Miss Mack got one of her Ugg classic tall boots stuck in the wooden slats of a cattle grid designed to keep animals off the rails, the court heard. A passer-by jumped down on to the tracks to pull her to safety as a through train approached the station at speed. Kelly Mack, 29, had been rowing with Darren Palmer when he grabbed her, narrowly avoiding being hit himself, the jury heard. Minutes earlier, the couple, who were both drunk, had climbed down from a platform on to the tracks to get to the other side, where they were due to catch their train home to Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. 'He got her to the London side of the tracks but the defendant took exception,' said prosecutor David Etherington QC at Chelmsford Crown Court. 'He walked back across the track and snatched her. 'He acted with complete disregard to the obvious danger in which he was placing both of them by taking such reckless action.'
